In February and March this year, Focused Carwash Solutions (FCS) helped two Colorado car washes launch their soft opening celebrations.
On Tuesday, February 11, Meadows Express Car Wash kicked off its opening at 1580 Carnaby Lane, Castle Rock by offering free car washes for six consecutive days.
The wash features a 115-foot dual-belt Tommy conveyor inside a 135-foot building with equipment by Tommy Car Wash Systems, 24 Eurovac vacuum slots, two Rhinomat mat washers, a reclaim system by PUR Clean, chemicals by Simoniz, and a point-of-sale system from Innovative Control Systems. Also on site are two fully digital pet washes with built-in water heaters.
According to Aaron Green, FCS president, “Meadows Express Car Wash is located inside a covenant-controlled community in Castle Rock, and will be the only car wash allowed in the community.”
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, owner Chris Zuniga was able to keep Meadows Express open under a modified business model and washed over 12,000 cars this spring. With its WashNow app by ICS, Meadows Express is able to offer its customers a contact-free wash option where they can purchase a wash or membership from their device without cashier interaction. The wash was required to only temporarily close its vacuum stations, mat washers, and pet washes.
On Saturday, March 14, Washed Up Car Wash launched its soft opening celebration at 1876 Hover Street, Longmont. As part of the festivities, the wash offered nine consecutive days of free Gold Washes.
Washed Up is equipped with a 110-foot dual-belt Tommy conveyor inside a 125-foot building with equipment by Tommy Car Wash Systems and an Aerodry dryer system. Washed Up also features 20 Eurovac vacuum slots, two Rhinomat mat washers, a reclaim system by PUR Clean, chemicals by Simoniz, and a point-of-sale system by Innovative Control Systems.
Washed Up Car Wash faced a huge challenge as a result of stay-at-home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic, causing owners Tim and Shelly Walker to close their doors only 14 days after opening. Fortunately, Washed Up was able to re-open on April 18, 2020 following strict sanitation and social distancing protocols. As part of a re-opening special, Washed Up offered another two weeks of free washes, along with a promotion on its Unlimited Wash Club.
