On Saturday, August 2, the Rocky Mountain Team Special Olympics was able to raise nearly $1,000 at their car wash fundraiser held at Kwik Car Wash in Parker, CO. In addition to earning 50 percent of Kwik Car Wash’s wash sales during the fundraiser, team members and volunteers were able to raise additional funds by vacuuming and towel drying cars.
Rocky Mountain Team Special Olympics is affiliated with Colorado Special Olympics and serves individuals from 6 to 60 years old with disabilities, whether cognitive or physical. RMTSO offers a variety of sports, giving the participants a chance to learn new skills, make new friends, and enjoy friendly competition with other Special Olympians.
