The Southwest Car Wash Association’s Annual Con-vention and Car Wash Expo 2024 took place Wednesday, February 28, through Friday, March 1, at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, TX. The event brought together 2,700 car washers from 45 states, Mexico, Canada, Finland, and Germany. The attendance broke the previous record of 2,592 set last year.

Two well-known speakers highlighted the convention.  First, Stu Crum, CEO of True Blue Car Wash kicked off the popular CEO Forum on Wednesday giving his insights on the car wash industry now and heading into the next several years.  Then on Thursday, attendees enjoyed the inspirational message from keynote speaker Emmitt Smith. The NFL Hall of Famer offered motivational stories about his career and encouraged attendees to fill their lives with passion and pride.

Prior to Smith’s address, Bill Martin of Metro Express, was honored with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award, and thrilled the crowd with a humorous and sentimental retelling of his 50 years in the car wash industry.

The 2024 SCWA event included a record EXPO area with more than 435 booths and more than 100,000 square feet of exhibits, the popular EXPO Quick Talks Stage, plus premier education sessions, including the Car Wash Academy.

The SCWA 2025 Convention and Car Wash Expo is scheduled for February 26-28 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. For further information, visit or call the Southwest Car Wash Association at (800) 440-0644.
