PDQ Manufacturing Inc. has announced that it made a $5,000 donation to the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Wisconsin in June. That amount was matched by the Dover Foundation, the charitable arm of PDQ’s parent company, Dover Corporation, for a total donation of $10,000. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions.

In conjunction with its donation, PDQ also participated as a presenting sponsor at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin’s “Gourmet Wishes” event, which was held at the Hyatt on Main/KI Convention Center Ballroom in Green Bay, WI. The event featured gourmet appetizers, desserts, wine, specialty beers, and martinis that were provided and served by more than 30 of the Green Bay area’s leading restaurants, caterers, bakeries and beverage companies, with proceeds from the evening benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin.

Separately, the company announced that for the fourth consecutive year it had made a charitable donation to the Service League of Green Bay’s Back-To-School Store program. Each year, the Back-To-School Store program, which was founded in 1993, provides more than 1,500 elementary-school children in grades K-5 in Brown County with the tools to succeed in the classroom. Each child receives a backpack full of various school items and clothing, as well as dental and vision screening. Additionally, this year 1,500 backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed to area students in grades 6 through 8.
