The 33rd annual Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC) was held on October 2-4 in Atlantic City, NJ, setting a new high-water mark for attendees. The event’s 386 exhibits attracted 1,921 car wash professionals to the Atlantic City Convention Center, an attendance record.

The event kicked off on Monday, October 2 with a virtual car wash tour led by Tom Hoffman, Jr. of Hoffman Car Washes and InnovateIT. The tour featured four sites from throughout the Northeast featuring a variety of wash concepts. Following the virtual tour all attendees were invited to attend Simoniz’s annual cocktail reception which featured plenty of food and drink as well as a live band.

The conference hit full stride on Tuesday with a full morning of educational sessions, including an early bird breakfast panel, Myrrh Consulting’s Chris Brown’s talk on unlimited wash programs, a marketing experts panel, and the keynote address from leadership expert Mark Denton.
Following the keynote, attendees were treated to the annual awards luncheon. This year the NRCC honored four emerging car wash leaders: Sebastien Weekes, Spritz Car Wash; Dave Jones, Splash Car Wash; Francesca Roman, Hoffman Car Wash; and Max Pulcini, EverWash. The most distinguished person award went to Larry Fiano of Fiano’s E-Z Coin-Op Carwash. The NRCC inducted two new members into its Hall of Fame: Bill Gorra and Al West of Simoniz USA.
After the awards luncheon, it was time to hit the expo floor and mingle with attendees and solution providers, followed by a welcome reception sponsored by ICS.
The conference ended on Wednesday with a keynote address from Chick-fil-A’s Arthur Greeno and three more hours of expo time.
The 34th NRCC is slated for October 7-9, 2024, at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will once again be the host hotel. Check out nrccshow.com in the coming months for additional information.
