The 32nd annual Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC) took place September 19-21 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

The New England Carwash Association (NECA) played host of the event with members John Shalbey and Dave Ellard serving as co-chairs.

The event kicked off on Monday, September 19, with a virtual car wash tour hosted by Tom Hoffman. The event got into full swing on Tuesday with a morning full of educational opportunities including the popular Early Bird Panel and Breakfast, and sessions on mentoring and how to foster a Talent-ful Carwash.

The highlight of the morning was a rousing keynote address from retired Army Sergeant Travis Mills. Mills, who lost portions of all four limbs while serving in Afghanistan, wowed the audience with his humor and inspiring life story.

Following Mills’ keynote address, the NRCC hosted its annual awards reception and luncheon where industry leaders were honored for recent as well as lifetime achievement. Among the honorees was Mike Ashley Jr., of Virginia Carwash Industries who was inducted into the NRCC Hall of Fame.

Following the luncheon, it was time to hit the show floor for five hours of networking and exploring the latest tech offerings.

Wednesday, the final day of the event, kicked off with a panel discussion on growing your unlimited club membership followed by four more hours of trade floor excitement.

The Atlantic City Convention Center will once again host the event next year, October 2-4.
