The Northeast Regional Carwash Convention returned to the Atlantic City Convention Center for its 2018 iteration. The event ran from Monday October 1 through Wednesday, October 3 with Car Wash Operators of New Jersey the designated host association. A solid turnout exceeded the 1,500 mark, while the number of exhibitors set a new record: 320.

The educational program got started on Monday afternoon with a virtual car wash tour — a feature first introduced at last year’s convention. Tuesday offered further educational opportunities including a crowd favorite: the Early Bird Panel Discussion.

Following the keynote address, the awards luncheon featured three presentations:
• Most Distinguished Person — Doug Rieck, NRCC chairman
• Hall of Fame Inductee — Bob Katseff, Turnpike Car Wash
• Emerging Leader — Jule Gapp, Hoffman Car Wash Paul Fazio, CEO of Sonny’s Enterprises Inc., presented the final seminar of the convention on Wednesday morning. He offered his insights on the “State of the Industry” — where the industry finds itself and where it is heading.

The 2019 NRCC will again be held in Atlantic City. The event is scheduled for September 23-25 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. For more information, visit www.nrccshow.com.
