The 28th annual Northeast Regional Carwash Convention was held October 2-4 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It was the Connecticut Carwash Association’s turn to play host for the event, which was featured at the convention center for the third consecutive year.

The event kicked off on the evening of Monday October 2 with a two-hour virtual car wash tour, which highlighted some of the cutting-edge strategies and technologies industry leaders are deploying to attract customers and streamline operations.

Tuesday morning brought with it the always-popular early bird panel and breakfast and an action-packed educational agenda. Following the early bird, attendees were treated to educational sessions on developing a new wash, the current cyber security landscape, and how to manage a millennial workforce. After the morning’s educational onslaught came the annual networking luncheon and awards ceremony.

At the mid-day event, Todd Whitehouse was presented the NRCC Most Distinguished Person Award for his tireless work fighting the new car wash sales tax law in Connecticut.

Following the awards ceremony, the event got into high gear when the doors swung open to the show floor and attendees began to stream into the massive convention hall. In addition to aisle after aisle of car wash equipment, NRCC added a new wrinkle to the show this year with short educational sessions, dubbed Inside Looks, presented by innovative car wash solution providers. Tuesday’s activities came to an end in grand fashion with a two-hour welcome reception at the posh Water Club Pool at the Borgata Hotel and Casino.

The final day of activities started with round table discussions in the morning, followed by five more hours of coveted show floor time, complete with a full docket of Inside Looks presentations.

In 2018, NRCC will once again be held in the Atlantic City Convention Center, October 1-3. Visit www.nrccshow.com for more information.
