Quality Car Wash broke ground on a new location at the northeast corner of Chicago Drive and Waverly Avenue in Holland, MI on April 3. The project is slated for completion in September.
The design was a collaborative effort between Elzinga & Volkers Construction Professionals, GMB Architecture + Engineering, and Tommy Car Wash Systems. It incorporates the best in car wash design from all the previous Totally Tommy buildings to date. The new site will be the chain’s largest location and will feature a 4,000-square-foot convenience store containing a Tim Horton’s Café & Bake Shop with a drive thru window and a 140-foot-long patented Tommy ® express car wash tunnel, with a curved, clear acrylic roof and slanted side walls.
“This new location will be a showplace for the newest technology in car wash design, construction, and operation,” said Ryan Essenburg, director of operations at Tommy Car Wash Systems.
The Essenburg family established Quality Car Wash in 1969. Their sister company, Tommy Car Wash Systems, also of Holland, and their partner company, A.V.W. of Maywood, IL, have been supplying innovative car wash products and equipment globally. Quality Car Wash maintains five locations today in West Michigan offering a variety of services in Holland, Muskegon, and Grand Rapids.
