Jurassic Car Wash, an animatronic dinosaur-themed premium automatic and self-service car wash in the heart of South Austin, TX, is inviting different groups of public service members to receive a free car wash on the second Tuesday of every month throughout 2017.
To celebrate their dedication to Austin’s community, eligible public service members will get a free automatic Deluxe Wash (normally $8), which includes undercarriage wash, super foam brush, double super soap scrub, clear-coat protectant, spot-free rinse, and high-powered air dry.
The program kicked off on Tuesday, January 10 with police officers receiving free washes. Firefighters get their turn on Tuesday, February 14, while schoolteachers wash for free on Tuesday March 14. In the event of inclement weather, the free-wash day will be postponed until the following week and held on the third Tuesday of the month. Further schedule announcements will be made at a later date.
Owner of Jurassic Car Wash and longtime Austin entrepreneur John Borek has a soft spot for local charities, taking his authentic Batmobile to meet children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and to events such as the CASA Superhero Run and Austin Sunshine Run. Borek set out to make his car wash “unique and fun with a dash of Austin weird” and in true fashion, he will take his Batmobile to the car wash on the free days to greet and thank Austin’s public servants for a few hours.
