As it traditionally does, Liqui Moly released its audited financial statements on St. Valentine’s Day, 2018. In a statement, Ernst Prost, the company CEO, announced: “Our turnover in 2017 was 532 million Euro, an increase of 9 percent on the 489 million Euro achieved in 2016. Our profit before tax is 52 million Euro. Also an increase of 9 percent compared to the previous year.”

Giving credit to his “entire team, my 835 colleagues” for working hard, economizing well, and producing an excellent team result, Prost announced a “victory bonus” for each of 11,000 Euro gross.

“It’s also the time to not only think about ourselves, but also about other people who aren’t so well off,” Prost added. “Therefore I have decided to privately donate 3 million Euro to the Ernst Prost Foundation and 1 million Euro to the Ernst Prost Foundation for Africa from the revenue I managed to obtain from selling Liqui Moly to Würth [effective January 1, 2018].“
