Kadelyn Burgess, a Crew Carwash employee and Tri-West High School student in Lizton, IN has been selected as this year’s Larry Harrell Scholarship recipient. Burgess will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be used toward her continued education.

She was selected due to her high school academic performance, school honors, and her community involvement. Her volunteer efforts are especially valued by Sheltering Wings, a domestic-violence shelter in Danville, IN that helps provide a safe place for women and children experiencing domestic violence.

Burgess is also involved in Student Council, Model UN, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Teens That Talk, Spanish Club, Student Mentoring, and National Honors Society — all of this while maintaining a 4.14 GPA. She plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University in the fall where she has also been named a Dean’s Scholarship recipient.

The Larry Harrell Scholarship, created in honor of car wash operator Larry Harrell by his peers, has been recognizing young adults working in the car wash industry since 2000. The scholarship is awarded annually. For further information, contact Megan Clark, ICA membership director, at mclark@carwash.org.
