Every year Virginia-based Flagstop Car Wash participates in the national Grace for Vets event during which car washes all around the country provide free washes to veterans on Veterans Day. This year, Flagstop contacted the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to join in the event on November 11.
Flagstop collected donations from opening until closing at all eight locations for the DAV on Veterans Day. In order to encourage more donations, free washes were given to anyone who donated money to DAV. By the end of the event, Flagstop had given away over 1,100 free washes between military and donating customers, and raised a grand total of $2,187, 100 percent of which went directly to DAV. The nationwide Grace For Vets event reported a total of over 66,000 free washes given on Veterans Day.
On November 8, Flagstop held the Grand Opening of its newest location in North Chesterfield, VA. During the event, Flagstop provided free car washes to the public and hosted a cookout to raise money for Christmas Mother, a local Chesterfield and Colonial Heights organization that raises money for families in need during the holiday season. A total of $567 was raised for the non-profit.
Flagstop is also currently accepting donations to Christmas Mother until December 1 at its full service locations.
