Carolina Pride Carwash Inc. held its first Car Wash Academy training classes for self-serve operators June 13 and 14, 2017. The focus of this two-day workshop at the company’s headquarters in Timberlake, NC was self-serve car wash operation and maintenance.
The classes dug deep into every aspect of self-serve equipment: control panels; fluid systems; circulating pumps; air compressors; water softeners and spot free rinse systems; meters and timers; bill, coin, and credit card acceptors; vacuum systems; water heaters; weep misers; bay equipment; and more.
Carolina Pride trainers, some of who have been in the car wash industry for over 50 years, led the presentations and hands-on sessions. Traveling from as far as Texas and upstate New York, the 14 car wash owners and operators in attendance were able to experience hands-on maintenance operations and swap tips and techniques with fellow attendees. Whether an experienced car wash owner or new to the industry, everyone came out of the class with a better understanding of self-serve equipment and how to apply the learned techniques to their car wash.
The schedule for the next Car Wash Academy for self-serve operators will be finalized soon. To learn more about the academy, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call (800) 597-5112.
