Portland, OR-based Detail Plus Car Appearance Systems recently announced the signing of a multi-year contract with Detail Plus of Saudi Arabia to distribute its Chemspense Detailing Systems and other detail related products throughout the entire kingdom.
Bandar Alamer who is involved in several aspects of the automobile appearance business including window tinting, invisible film protection, and other related services owns detail Plus of Saudi Arabia. Alamer plans to expand the Detail Plus name throughout the major cities of the kingdom including Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and then to the smaller outlying cities. He has plans to build more than 25 centers, some of which will be company-owned and others part of a pseudo-franchise. Two new centers will be installed this summer.
Detail Plus was first introduced to Saudi Arabia in the late 80s by Hummam Attar who built more than 15 centers throughout the country. In 1991 he sold a number of the stores to individuals, including Alamer who decided to expand the concept again as it was nearly 30 years ago.
