On Saturday, June 29, the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing- Denver Group was able to raise nearly $900 at its car wash fundraiser hosted by Kwik Car Wash locations in Parker and Littleton, CO. Fifty percent of car wash sales for the duration of the event were donated to the group. Volunteers were on site serving lunch, selling merchandise, and offering fly-casting demonstrations for additional donations.

Project Healing Waters (www.projecthealingwaters.org) is an organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly-fishing and associated activities, including education and outings.

Volunteers from Colorado Skies Outfitters in Parker and Anglers All in Littleton were also on site teaching casting skills and demonstrating different fly-fishing techniques.

In conjunction with the fundraiser, Kwik Car Wash also hosted its annual customer appreciation BBQ and Great Grill Give-Away on Saturday. After giving customers the opportunity to enter the contest with every wash purchase during the month of June, two lucky winners were selected to receive a Char-Broil, four-burner grill package valued at over $400. Theresa Severa of Parker and Diane Patterson of Littleton were the lucky recipients of the grills, just in time for their Independence Day cookouts.
