AUTOBELL 2017 SCHOLARSHIPS

Since its inception, the annual Autobell Car Wash Scholarship Program has awarded qualifying applicants from its employee ranks over $1.27 million in continuing education funds. For the 2017-18 academic year, Autobell assisted 139 employees in the Carolinas, Virginia, and Georgia with scholarships toward the college or university of their choice, with the year’s gifts totaling $168,500.

”When we launched the program in 2000, our intention was to assist and reward dedicated employees who were motivated to further their studies through higher education,” said Chuck Howard, CEO of the Charlotte, NC-based company. “We value learning and wanted to offer support to our employees who sought more. We view this program as an investment in our work force and our communities.”

The annual scholarship program is open to current Autobell employees with at least 12 months continuous employment who are graduating high school seniors or have a high school diploma. The selection process considers each student’s academic diligence and accomplishments, productive extracurricular activities, civic engagement, and letters from references familiar with the applicant through school, work, and community involvement. The application also requires an essay that discusses an educational or creative aspect of their employment experience.

“At Autobell, we take great pride in recruiting, training, and promoting the finest employees, and we are delighted with the opportunity to help them grow in other facets of life,” Howard stated.
