The Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC) is celebrating its 25th anniversary. For 2014, the annual event takes place at the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The participating associations are the New York State Car Wash Association, Car Wash Operators of New Jersey, Connecticut Carwash Association, Mid-Atlantic Carwash Association, and New England Car Wash Association. The event runs from Monday, September 15 through Wednesday, September 17.
Educational programming on Monday gets the show on the road with a presentation by the CarWash College titled “A ‘Labor’ of Love.” Running concurrently is an educational session for self-service operators looking to reinvigorate their businesses.
The ever-popular Early Bird Panel Discussion takes place on Tuesday morning. Panelists, car wash veterans all, stand ready to answer any and all car wash questions from the floor. The brothers Rendemonti, who grew up in the car wash business, follow with advice on preparing for a solid financial future and will share expertise on buying and selling car washes.
The keynote speaker for the event is Robert (Bob) Benmosche, president and CEO of American International Group (AIG), who successfully led the insurance company’s restructuring and turnaround following the 2008 financial crisis. The awards presentation and ICA address takes place during the luncheon that immediately precedes the opening of the exhibit floor.
The Hard Rock Café is the venue for the NRCC’s 25th anniversary celebration, offering attendees an opportunity to not only toast the organization’s success and endurance but also to network with peers and make new friends.
The Early Bird Roundtables on Wednesday allow information seekers to choose from among 10 discussion groups, each covering a different subject. Before doing one final circuit of the exhibit floor, attendees can find out everything they need to know about Obamacare in the last seminar of the convention.
