The 2019 Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC) is a special event. It marks 30 years of service to the Northeast commercial car wash community. The first NRCC tradeshow was held in 1989 in Newport, RI. This year’s show runs from Monday, September 23 through Wednesday, September 25 and, as it has for the past several years, takes place at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The Borgata is again the designated headquarter hotel. The participating associations are Car Wash Operators of New Jersey, the Connecticut Carwash Association, the Mid-Atlantic Carwash Association, the New York State Car Wash Association, and the New England Carwash Association.

The virtual car wash tour returns on Monday afternoon as the opening presentation of the educational program. Site visits include washes both in and outside the Northeast market, allowing attendees to learn from operators near and far.
Tuesday morning is filled with educational opportunities, starting with a show favorite: the Early Bird Panel Discussion. This informal presentation allows attendees to have their car wash related questions answered by seasoned operators.
The keynote speaker on Tuesday is John Roush, CEO of Express Wash Concepts, parent company of Moo Moo Express, Flying Ace Express, and the upcoming Clean Express car wash brands. Roush is an Ohio-based car wash operator and commercial retail development executive with more than 25 years of experience in retail, commercial, and residential projects. Under his leadership, Moo Moo has grown to 16-plus central Ohio locations since opening the first wash in 2008. In 2018, he washed more than 2.5 million cars. He is also co-founder of
Flying Ace Express Car Wash, with more than five locations in the greater Dayton market.
On Wednesday, the final seminar of the convention will cover employment legal issues common in the car wash industry. Alvaro Hasani, Esq. will advise attendees on “Avoiding Employee Lawsuits and Surviving Audits.”
